Sets a respondent’s status from your server. Also used to scrub a complete.
Keep sending respondents to your redirect URLs as usual. If you’ve already set their status here, the redirect won’t change it. Repeating the same status changes nothing.

To remove a bad complete, setTERMINATED with SCRUBBED. You can scrub within 10 business days of the complete, unless the project is CLOSED. Scrubbed respondents aren’t billed.

| 400 | INVALID_STATUS | status isn’t COMPLETED or TERMINATED. |
| 400 | INVALID_STATUS_REASON | statusReason is missing or invalid with TERMINATED, or sent with COMPLETED. |
| 404 | PROJECT_NOT_FOUND | No project with this ID exists for your account. |
| 404 | RESPONDENT_NOT_FOUND | No respondent with this ID on this project. |
| 409 | INVALID_RESPONDENT_STATUS | The respondent already has a different final status. |
| 409 | OUTSIDE_WINDOW | Scrubbing a complete more than 10 business days old. |
| 409 | PROJECT_CLOSED | Scrubbing on a CLOSED project. |
